Noa Roman-Muniz

Dr. Román-Muñiz focuses her research efforts on the intersection between animal and human wellbeing and productivity on dairy operations.

While serving as Dairy Extension Specialist for the Department of Animal Sciences, Román-Muñiz worked with local dairies, as well as state and regional dairy industry groups to develop and facilitate culturally responsive training programs for dairy employees. Additionally, she collaborated with CSU’s Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures on an undergraduate program in “Spanish for Animal Health and Care”,  designed to improve communications and efficiency by addressing the issue of managers on dairy farms giving instructions to foreign-born Spanish-speaking workers in English only.

Román-Muñiz earned her D.V.M. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2001 and her M.S. in clinical sciences from CSU in 2004.
