Restoration ecology

Mark Paschke

Paschke focuses on restoration and ecology of disturbed ecosystems and revegetation science, especially related to energy development.

Throughout his career, Paschke has worked across multiple scales, from the molecular to the ecosystem level, and across multiple disciplines with specialized experience in restoration ecology related to energy development. He currently teaches classes in restoration ecology, ecological restoration, reconciliation ecology and disturbance ecology.

In addition to his teaching, Paschke is the Shell Endowed Chair of Restoration Ecology as well as the research associate dean for the Warner College of Natural Resources and director of CSU’s Restoration Ecology Lab.

Paschke received his B.S. and M.S. in forestry and his Ph.D. in biology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
