Bunning, associate professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and an Extension specialist, specializes in food safety communication; post-harvest produce safety and quality; food processing; and consumer food handling behavior.

Bunning earned her B.S. in botany from Cameron University, her M.S. in plant physiology from Oklahoma State University, and her Ph.D. in food science and safety from CSU.
