Dr. Brian Dunbar is the Executive Director for the Institute for the Built Environment (IBE) and a Professor Emeritus in the College of Health and Human Sciences. His research focuses on green and sustainable building; he has been instrumental in implementing professional certification courses in green building as well as sustainable design and construction courses taught in Costa Rica and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Dunbar is co-author of the book 147 Tips on Teaching Sustainability. He has been selected as a LEED accredited faculty member by the U.S. Green Building Council every year since 2004.
Dunbar holds two degrees in architecture from the University of Michigan.
