Bill Becker is a Project Manager for the Center for the New Energy Economy. He has extensive experience in developing innovative programs and policies in the energy, environment, and sustainable development fields. In addition to his work for CSU, Becker is a senior policy advisor for both Natural Capitalism Solutions – a non-profit founded by environmental advocate Hunter Lovins – and the Environment and Energy Study Institute in Washington, D.C. He is a former senior official at the U.S. Department of Energy and the Executive Director of the Presidential Climate Action Project, in which a team of prominent U.S. experts has provided energy and climate policy recommendations to the White House since 2008. He is the principal author of CSU’s “Powering Forward” report, which provided recommendations to the President on five key energy topics. Becker is a member of the International Climate Change Task Force created by Mikhail Gorbachev, and a guest-blogger at Huffington Post.
